Maui County Health Volunteers ( 404 )

Maui County Health Volunteers is one of four units making up the Hawaii Medical Reserve Corps. Since May of 2007, we have trained over 200 people on Maui and throughout the state of Hawaii to assist in various kinds of public health emergencies and natural disasters. Volunteers have worked at school flu clinics, H1N1 response, health fairs, and disaster drills, as well as completing incident command and NIMS and attending quarterly trainings. We collaborate closely with Maui County Civil Defense, American Red Cross, Community Emergency Response Teams, and numerous public, private, and non-profit agencies. We have open enrollment for new members and are always willing to train new volunteers and work with new partners.
