Scottsdale Healthcare Medical Reserve Corps ( 2351 )

Profile:
The Scottsdale Healthcare MRC serves a county community of 9,224 square miles, 29 communities, and a population of almost 4 million. The MRC uses AZ-ESAR-VHP to register volunteer Health Professionals to include licensed professionals, retired professionals, current medical students, independent health volunteers and/or members of a health volunteer organization with a desire to volunteer their time and expertise during emergencies. The MRC has promoted its mission, established its policies, procedures, and protocols regarding operations and conducted recruiting initiatives within the medical community and the community at large. The unit is preparing to provide staffing at Point of Dispensing clinics during a mass immunization/prophylaxis campaign. It’s also currently active in a public health preparedness education program for individuals in schools, churches, and community organizations, instructing them how, what, and when to prepare for a disaster and is a key stakeholder in the semiannual Coyote Crisis Campaign. The Coyote Crisis Campaign (CCC) is a crisis response campaign designed to exercise Scottsdale Healthcare, AZ Air National Guard, General Dynamics, Luke Air Force Base, City of Scottsdale, Arizona State University, Maricopa Integrated Health System, Scottsdale Insurance Company, Mayo Clinic, The Arizona Republic, Arizona Department of Health Services, and Maricopa County Departments of Public Health and Emergency Management, and additional participating organizations and government entities in emergency crisis response - locally, regionally, and nationally.
