Blizzard Notification and activation for Nemo. Blizzard watch and winter storm communication checklist was provided and volunteers contacted several hundred special needs clients to ensure awareness. Post event volunteers assisted with meeting social needs and support for the functional needs that lacked resilience. (medication, food, transportation assistance for renal dialysis).

2/6/2013 - 2/12/2013
Participated in National Technical Nuclear Forensic Ground Collection Task Force "prominent Hunt 13-2". Provide medical support for and participated in several table top exercise within this exercise.

11/29/2012 - 12/27/2012
Activated and mobilized for Super Storm Sandy ND #4085. Supported the ESF-8 Missions and needs. Reactive in the development of deployment model and administrative support. Utilized NYS state MRC volunteer to support the Special Needs Shelters. Provided assistance with the revolving H&HS needs of and estimated 18,000 residents. Provided support for POD's and mass feeding.

Presented to and discussed Preparedness and Resilience for individuals with functional and medical needs. Discussion and brain storming for the improvements needed to the proposed local law requiring service providers to register with local emergency management official. Suffolk County Local law - Vulnerable Citizen Protection Act.

7/27/2012 - 7/27/2012
Participated in the build out of several SMART Emergency Applications that will provide for social good. Smart 911, Code Red, Emergency Preparedness Registry, Pulse Point and GEO location of COUNTY public access defibrillators.
