Profile:
We have incorporated our existing nursing volunteers into the MRC. Our MRC is limited to health personnel: MD, PA, NP,RN, CNA, Vets, vet techs, Pharmacists, Pharmacy techs, and dentists. Non-medical volunteers are provided by CERT and VOAD. Our volunteers will supplement existing emergency and public health resources. MRC members assist in specialty clinics, community education, and community level responses.

Completed Hotwash and after action conference for POD exercise

Conducted a Full Scale Point of Distribution exercise with volunteers from the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) on Wednesday 1/8/14. MRC members successfully completed all exercise objectives, while CERT members played the role of the Public, even pretending to be hostile, confused and ill.

MRC November Meeting and POD Exercise. MRC members rehearsed the setting up of and management of points of dispensing in Coconino County. Three members who received special training in the summer guided the other members.

6 MRC members attended a two day training on: Mass Antibiotic Dispensing Course Goals: To provide Point of Dispensing (POD) managers, local and state planners, and POD staff members with skills and tools necessary to effectively and efficiently dispense medications during a public health emergency.
