| Profile: |
In collaboration with the Brown County Health Department and EMA with guidance from the Ohio Department of Health we have established a group of health care professionals and non medical individuals to help the community prepare for, respond to, and mitigate emergencies, disasters, and other pressing needs. The MRC provides a group of trained and available volunteers who supplement and assist local emergency response systems. The volunteers within the MRC unit attend various levels of training, assist in emergency exercises and drills, and is active in public health promotion and education programs such as safety days, health fairs, and clinics. Volunteers also work with public health staff members to promote the MRC itself and recruit more volunteers.
