Our intent is to fill the gap in existing medical reserve corp structure and response capability in the southern portion of New Mexico. We will collaborate with our health care and response partners from El Paso, Texas, New Mexico State University and from throughout southern New Mexico to identify gaps in prevention, planning and response which might be filled using a robust medical response corp asset. One of the primary objectives within the overall mission will be to support Public Health outreach and education programs and enhance the emergency response capability of the New Mexico Public Health Region 5.
