INFO UPDATED - 3-27-2009 By MRC-Gregg Executive Director We are still actively searching for all volunteer medical, nursing, allied health professionals and citizens who worked with the Medical Unit at Maude Cobb Center after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. We encourage them to contact us and become part of the MRC Gregg County. They are entitled to the MRC Founders Membership Program. Any licensed medical prfessional currently working or retired are asked to assist us in serving our community.We are also searching for non licensed citizens to assist as logistical support to our team. We are in Phase 2-3 of our start-up process: Volunteer Recruitment and Training. MRC Executive Director brought in an independant consultant to review our MRC Policies - Training Program and Recruitment plan as well as to assist with the H1N1 Educational Community Prepardness Initiative which began in June 2006 with the Heatlh Dept.

Developed a more comprehensive website for H1N1 Prepardness and emergency response for the Gregg County Health Dept. http://www.greggfluinfo.info . MRC-GREGG provides all the design, technical and funding to this point for all of these websites

Activated to assist Local Public Health in infomation distribution via Internet technologies and other mediums for the H1N1 Virus. Developed and providing daily tech support for Pandemic-flu website: www.greggfluinfo.com. Goal is provide accurate clear information on this H1N1 Virus by Primary Sources such as the CDC and WHO
