The Auglaize County Medical Reserve Corps (AugCoMRC) unit is county-based and functions as a way to organize and utilize volunteers who want to donate their time and expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies, and promote healthy living throughout the year. Medical Reserve Corps volunteers supplement existing emergency and public health resources.
Medical Reserve Corps volunteers include, but are not limited to, medical and public health professionals such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, veterinarians, and epidemiologists. Many community members—interpreters, chaplains, office workers, legal advisors, and others—can fill key support positions.
The Auglaize County Health Department is the sponsoring agent of the AugCoMRC. Multiple County Partners Agencies have been asked to represent their agencies on the AugCoMRC Board. The AugCoMRC will work with the Auglaize County Citizens Emergency Response Team,sponsored by the Auglaize County Emergency Management Agency, to provide complete services in an emergency.

Auglaize MRC received a grant from the Northwest Ohio Regional Hospital Group to purchase items and build a Go-Box. MRC is working with the local EMA/ARES radio group on the project. Emergency Communications is the focus.
