| Profile: |
Oxford County MRC serves an area of 2,078 square miles with a population of 54,755. Our largest community has a population of just under 6,000. Due to geography, we can have a critical winter event in the northern end of the county while dealing with severe flooding in the southern part of the county. Due to a lack of local disaster preparedness structure, we are working with authorities to develop plans to include MRC teams.
2010 Update:
Having recruited 180+ members, we are currently developing teams in each community.
