Profile:
The Fulton County MRC unit was established in 2006 as a way to identify and train medical and non-medical volunteers to assist in emergency situations as well as to provide health care education to members of the community. Our group of 50 volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds including medical, business, teaching and retired members of the community. We have been available to provide support to our local health department through assisting with flu clinics as well as providing health care information to individuals during community activities. Training opportunity are offered to volunteers and activites are planned to try to help keep volunteers engaged. Newsletters are sent out several times a year to keep members up to date.
