Profile:
The Gallia County Medical Reserve Corps was formed primarily to assist in mass distribution of medications. Since that time, community pandemic flu education and medical support activities (triage, first aid, etc) have been added. Volunteers are recruited through the Ohio RN and LPN databases, and through personal recruiting.

Multi-County and Multi-Organization Hazmat Full Scale Exercise.

10/25/2008
Gallia County Health Department Influenza Vaccination Clinic. 697 individuals received an influenza vaccination with MRC volunteers directing traffic, assisting with form completion, and encouraging carside vaccinations for individuals with disabilities. Special thanks to Gallia-Mason ARES for their expertise in providing radio communications for the event.

During this entire week, Non-Medical Volunteer Paula Camden enthusiastically worked to recruit new Gallia County Medical Reserve Corps volunteers and to get the word out to the community about MRC and CERT. Paula handed out recruitment materials and talked to the public at the Gallia County Health Department information booth at the Gallia County Junior Fair. Thanks Paula!
