| Profile: |
As a supplemental resource for the Harrison County Health Department, the MRC seeks to engage health care professionals in order to help the community prepare for, respond to, and mitigate emergencies and disasters. It does so by preregistering, credentialing, and training available volunteer professionals to supplement and assist local medical emergency response systems. The MRC serves a rural Appalachian county with a population of around 16,000.
