Profile:
The Christian County Medical Reserve Corps was established in 2006 and serves Christian County. The MRC program coordinator is housed in the Christian County Health Department. Christian County Emergency Management is a community partner and assists with projects and initiatives by providing linkages to other important community partners in the governmental, military, volunteer, faith-based, business, education, health, public safety and emergency response sectors. This collaborative effort has resulted in a Website maintained by the Pennyrile Area District Development Agency. The CCMRC is active in the Pennyrile Regional Citizen Corps Council. CCMRC volunteers assist with community outreach and seasonal flu clinics as well as being prepared to respond in a disaster situation. The program is open to all medical and non-medical personnel interested in working to better prepare and respond to emergencies.
