Ten Regional Coordinators are also housed in the 10 Regional Health and Human Services (HHS) offices. The OCVMRC is responsible for facilitating the development, implementation, and integration of MRC units nationwide. To accomplish this, OCVMRC staff provide technical assistance to all communities establishing or maintaining a local medical or public health-related volunteer corps. The OCVMRC functions as a clearinghouse for community information and best practices. Its role is to help communities achieve their local visions for public health and emergency preparedness and response. For more information about activities of the OCVMRC or to request assistance, please visit our Web site at www.medicalreservecorps.gov, or contact us at: Office of the Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps Previous | Table of Contents | Next Last Updated on 12/12/2007 |
