![]() Home > About the Medical Reserve Corps > Michael Leboe, M.S.W., L.M.S.W.Lieutenant, U.S. Public Health Service Lieutenant Michael Leboe serves as a Program Officer in the Office of the Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps in the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General. He is responsible for helping to develop and implement policies and procedures related to deployment of MRC volunteers who are willing, able, and approved to serve outside their local jurisdiction during a large-scale emergency. LT Leboe previously served at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, where he used his clinical Social Worker skills and knowledge to treat various psychosocial issues for oncology patients who were undergoing surgical interventions for their cancers. Prior assignments included service as a project officer in the Health Resources and Services Administration, National Health Service Corps Ready Responders program, and as a Clinical Social Worker at the Division of Immigration Health Service, Buffalo Federal Detention Facility. LT Leboe has been a Public Health Service Commissioned Corps Officer since 2002.
