Trombley, M.A., CCC-SLPLieutenant Commander, U.S. Public Health Service Lieutenant Commander Dean Trombley serves as a Program Officer in the Office of the Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps in the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General. He is responsible for helping to coordinate programmatic and operational activities in support of MRC units nationwide. LCDR Trombley previously served as a Speech Language Pathologist at the Navajo Area Indian Health Service Hospital in Chinle, Arizona. He was responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive, feeding and swallowing difficulties. He has been an active member of the US Air Force Auxiliary/Civil Air Patrol and served as the Emergency Services, Logistics, and Deputy Commander for Cadets. He has received multiple qualifications including air crew, ground team search and rescue (SAR), communications, and various ICS positions. LCDR Trombley has been a U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) Commissioned Corps Officer since 2005. He holds a masters degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Plattsburgh State University in New York. Prior to joining the PHS, he served on active duty in the United States Navy, Army Reserve, and Navy Reserve over a 13-year period. During this time, he was an enlisted man and served as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman and an U.S. Army Medic with multiple qualifications.
