Dagayla Burks

Dagayla Burks is the Junior Communication Specialist for the Office of the Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps (OCVMRC) in the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General. She is responsible for supporting the staff through various administrative tasks. In addition, she manages the registration of new users for the MRC Member Resources, oversees the MRC logo approval process, interviews MRC Leaders and Volunteers for the monthly MRC Spotlights, responds to outreach requests, maintains and updates Web content, provides support for the MRC National Leadership and Training Conference, and assists with other communication-related efforts.

A member of the OCVMRC for 2 years, Ms. Burks has worked in the program assistance field at both the academic and non-profit levels. This is her first position involving public health and emergency preparedness.

Ms. Burks is a 2004 graduate of George Mason University and holds a B.S. in Public Administration.
